Reimagining Fashion Design & Technology for Health

Collaboration with Toronto Metropolitan University, Creative School, Fashion (TMU) — Ongoing

KITE Creates has teamed up with Toronto Metropolitan University to bring fashion design students into the world of health innovation. Over two months, students connected with health and adaptive fashion ventures to gain hands-on experience in human centred design and wearable healthcare technology, which included:

  1. Tour and Fibre adjacent Trainee Showcase: TMU fashion students took part in an exclusive tour of the KITE Research Institute, where researchers presented innovations.
  1. Researchers and Creators Circle Venture Workshop: Students were connected with fashion-based health entrepreneurs, including ventures taking part in KITE’s Creators Circle program to collaborate on real-world design challenges.
  1. Student Presentations: As part of  their capstone project experience, TMU students presented prototypes and novel recommendations for the products..
