Reimaging Universal Design for Health

Collaboration with Carleton University, faculty of Industrial Design

Nine fourth-year students from Carleton University's School of Industrial Design created their capstone project with guidance from KITE Creates and KITE researchers. The student’s ended their degree with a month of hands-on experience in bringing human-centered design forward to tackle medical and accessibility challenges.

KITE proudly hosted a showcase for the students our scientists mentored and displayed their work in KITE's Innovations Gallery for several weeks. In addition to the showcase, some students got the chance to present their work at a booth at the 2025 International Conference on Aging, Innovation & Rehabilitation.
